I Just Can't Believe This!

OK, so I do have this thing with breast cancer and the worlds fascination with it, but seriously...
Yes it's great that all these people are willing to donate money and time to find a cure for it. It's great that people are surviving the disease, and it is absolutely terrible that anyone would have to suffer through it, but don't you think the world is over doing it with just ONE CANCER type.
Do you realize we have a whole month dedicated to breast cancer? Or that there is websites dedicated to just breast cancer? Or that we have walks to find the cure of just breast cancer? Or that there are songs just for breast cancer? It's ridiculous! What about people with different kinds of cancer? Are they just supposed to sit on the back burner twiddling their thumbs while research is, yes, trying to find a cure for their cancer, but spending what seams to be more time energy and money on breast cancer?
Sure breast cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer for women, but what about leukemia? Or bone cancer? Or brain tumors? Or all the other forms of cancer? Are they just not important? Leukemia is very common among children, one form of bone cancer attacks mostly people in their teens, lung cancer among smokers and people who live around smokers, or skin cancer for the people who love to sun bath? Do we just forget about them while we all focus on breast cancer? Do we even both talking about other cancers? Not unless it's Terry Fox Day at school, which by the way our school doesn't have.
Now I'm sure everyone reading this probably thinks I'm a stupid unkind cold-hearted monster. But I do hope people will still pay for research to find a cure for breast cancer, but I hope they'll start paying attention to other cancers too. Why don't we have walks for other one types of cancers. Theirs prostate cancer walks which is good, but that's it, just those too, and then general marathons. Each type of cancer is different, we have to fight for each defeat separately, not have one major battle at the general, and a smaller, but still important battle on the side.
I don't know, maybe I'm over analyzing things, or something. But we need more attention on other forms of cancer too. The world needs to get over it's fascination with just one form of cancer.
Aurum.
